Apply to settle in the UK – child applications
Use this form to apply to settle in the UK if you are the child of someone who has:
- or had permission on the Innovator route
- or had permission as a partner or parent (based on a qualifying period of 10 years)
- or had permission on the private life route (and you were born in the UK)
- refugee status
- humanitarian protection
They must either be applying for settlement at the same time as you or have already settled in the UK.
You can also use this form to apply to settle in the UK if you are a child on the private life route either as a child born in the UK, or who has or had permission on the private life route based on a qualifying period of 5 years.

This application includes an application for a biometric residence permit (BRP).
How long it takes you to complete the application will depend on your particular circumstances. You will be able to save your application and come back to it at another time if you need to.
If you are inactive for 25 minutes you will be automatically logged out.
Biometric information
As part of the application process, you are also required to apply for a biometric immigration document, commonly known as a biometric residence permit (BRP).
