PBS or Appendix W dependant partner
Introduction
Use this form if you are applying after the main applicant has already submitted their application or been granted leave in one of these categories.
You can also add dependant children to your application. For example, if you are applying as a partner with two children, you can all apply on the same application. Dependant children applying on their own should use a different form to apply.
Biometric information
As part of the application process, you are also required to apply for a biometric immigration document, commonly known as a biometric residence permit. If you choose standard or priority service, you will be required to pay an additional fee of £19.20 per applicant when providing your biometric information. If you choose the premium service, you will provide your biometric information at your appointment with no additional cost.
Healthcare surcharge
You must pay a healthcare surcharge (called the ‘immigration health surcharge’ or IHS) in addition to your application fee, unless you are granted a fee waiver. The amount you have to pay will depend on the length of leave you are applying for. Check how much you will have to pay before you apply.
Postgraduate studies
If you are taking a postgraduate course in the UK, you might need an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate. Find out if you need an ATAS certificate.
If you need an ATAS certificate, you can apply online.
Product details
Read the information on GOV.UK to find out about eligibility.
How long it takes you to complete the application will depend on your particular situation. You will be able to save your application and come back to it at another time if you need to.
If you are inactive for 25 minutes you will be automatically logged out.
You will only be considered for PBS or Appendix W Dependant - Partner. You will not be considered for any other type of leave to remain. You must use a different form if you want to stay for another reason.
