You can use this form to apply for an administrative review of the decision on your application under the EU Settlement Scheme. Alternatively, you may wish to make a new application under the EU Settlement Scheme.
You must apply for a review from inside the UK, within 28 days of the date you received your decision.
When you can apply
Your decision letter will tell you whether you can apply for an administrative review.
You can ask us to review your decision if:
- we refused your application because you did not meet the requirements for the EU Settlement Scheme and you think that you do
- we gave you pre-settled status, but you think you qualify for settled status
You cannot apply for a review of your decision if we have said that you have been refused under the EU Settlement Scheme because you are going to be, or have been, removed, deported or excluded from the UK. If this applies to you, you can find more information about next steps in your decision email.
What you pay
The fee for a review is £80 for each applicant. This fee will be refunded if the review is successful.
Every person, including family members who wish to submit a review of their application decision, must do so separately. If you originally applied at the same time as other family members, you can use this form to make an application for an administrative review for each of you. You can send in a single set of documents, but you will need to pay a fee for each person.
Submitting new evidence
You can submit new evidence with your application for review. You will be told how you can do this later in the form.
We may contact you if we need further information before we can decide whether your application will be reviewed.
You can only apply for another review of a decision if the outcome of the previous review was that your application was still refused, but for new reasons. Your new decision letter will tell you whether you can apply for another review.
We aim to decide within 28 days of receiving the application for review.
Before you apply
Before you start your application, read the administrative review guidance on:
- how to apply and required documents
How long it takes you to complete the application will depend on your particular circumstances. You will be able to save your application and come back to it at another time if you need to.
If you are inactive for 25 minutes, you will be automatically logged out.
You must submit your documents within 10 working days of submitting your online application. If you do not do this, your application may be rejected.
How we use your data
The Home Office will use the personal information you provide to consider your application. We may also share your information with other public and private sector organisations in the UK and overseas. For more detail please see the Privacy Notice for the Border, Immigration and Citizenship system. This also sets out your rights under the Data Protection Act 2018 and explains how you can access your personal information and complain if you have concerns about how we are using it.
